ESIC Recruitment 2025 Assistant Professor
The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, has released an official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in various medical specialties. The recruitment will be carried out on a direct recruitment basis across ESIC PGIMSRs and ESIC Medical Colleges.
Vacancy Details
A total of 243 vacancies have been announced, distributed among different categories and specialties. Some of the major disciplines include:
- Anatomy – 20 posts
- Anesthesiology – 17 posts
- Biochemistry – 9 posts
- Community Medicine – 42 posts
- Dentistry – 10 posts
- Dermatology – 9 posts
- General Medicine – 12 posts
- General Surgery – 13 posts
- Microbiology – 7 posts
- Paediatrics – 6 posts
- Pharmacology – 12 posts
- Physiology – 12 posts
- Psychiatry – 9 posts
- Radiodiagnosis – 7 posts
- Statistician – 10 posts
- And several others
Note: Out of the total, 10 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). The number of vacancies may vary depending on requirements.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-11 (₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700) of the pay matrix, along with admissible allowances such as Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA), DA, HRA, and Transport Allowance.
Age Limit
- Maximum: 40 years (as on closing date of application)
- Age relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC – 3 years
- PwBD – up to 10 years
- Government servants/ESIC medical officers – as per rules
Educational Qualifications
- For Medical Specialties: MD/MS/DNB in relevant subject with at least 3 years teaching experience as Senior Resident/Tutor/Assistant Professor in a recognized institution.
- For Dentistry: MDS or equivalent with 3 years teaching experience.
- For Non-Medical candidates (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry): Postgraduate degree and Ph.D. in relevant subject with 3 years teaching experience.
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on interviews conducted by the Selection Board.
- Minimum qualifying marks in interview:
- UR/EWS – 50 marks
- OBC – 45 marks
- SC/ST/PwBD – 40 marks
Application Fee
- ₹500/- (Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. 2”, payable at Faridabad)
- No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates/regular ESIC employees.

Important Notes
- Only Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque will be accepted for application fee.
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
- Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
- Probation period will apply as per ESIC rules.
