National Thermal Power Corporation NTPC Recruitment 2025 –

NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power utility, is driving the nation’s progress with an installed capacity of 81515 MW and strong presence across the entire power generation value chain. As we set our sights on an ambitious 130 GW capacity by 2032, we are looking for promising, energetic, young professionals with brilliant academic records to join the organization as Assistant Chemist Trainee. The qualifying requirements are as under:

Name of the Post: Assistant Chemist Trainee (ACT)

Number of Post: 30 Posts

Category-wise projected vacancies:

Compensation Package: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 30,000 – 1,20,000/- at the basic pay of Rs. 30,000/- (E0 Grade). The other benefits such as Dearness Allowance, other perquisites and allowances, terminal benefits, etc. will be admissible as per company rules in force from time to time during training/ after absorption.

Qualification:
Regular/Full-time M.Sc. in Chemistry from recognized Indian University/ Institute recognized by appropriate statutory authority with at least 60% marks in aggregate, SC, ST & PwBD candidates with passing marks are also eligible to apply for the post. Final year/semester students who expect their result by 31/07/2025 may also apply.

Upper Age Limit: Max. 27 years as on the last date of online application. Age relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC(NCL)/ PwBD/ XSM candidates applicable as per Government guidelines.

Selection Process:
Eligible candidate will have to appear for All India Base Online Selection Test. Best on category wise merit and number of vacancies, candidates will be shortlisted for document verification/ further selection process. The test will consist of two parts – Subject Knowledge test and Executive Aptitude Test. The candidates must qualify separately in both the parts.

Some of the General Conditions:

1. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
2. All qualifications should be from Universities / Institutions recognized and approved in India.
3. All computations of age, qualification etc. shall be done w.r.t. the last date of receipt of online application as mentioned in the advertisement. The date of declaration of final result / issuance of final semester marksheet shall be deemed to be the date of acquiring the qualification and there shall be no relaxation on this account. Final year/semester students who expect their result by 31.07.2025 may also apply. However, they must be able to produce final marksheet/ provisional degree/ course completion certificate at the time of interview, if called for, and no request for extension of time for producing the same will be entertained.
4. Candidates have to select test center/city for online selection test. However, NTPC reserves the right to cancel or add any center depending on the response of the candidates for that area / center.
5. Category (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) once filled in the online application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later. Candidates belonging to a particular category should necessarily have the applicable valid/ latest OBC / SC / ST/ Disability certificate, as the case may be, from the Competent Authority in the latest prescribed format of Government of India. Where there is a vacancy identified for such category, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST candidates, by 3 years for OBC candidates, by 10 years for PwBD candidates. Upper age to Ex-Servicemen will be as per Govt. guidelines.
6. Depending on the requirement, the Company reserves the right to cancel / restrict / curtail / increase the number of vacancies, if need arises, without any further notice and without assigning any reason thereof.

1. Candidates need to apply online on our website careers.ntpc.co.in or visit careers section at www.ntpc.co.in with a valid email id. The E-mail ID entered in the online application form must remain valid for at least one year. No change in the E-mail ID will be allowed. All future correspondence would be sent via e-mail only.
2. Candidates will be required to upload all required documents at the time of applying (as listed under at #6 ).
3. After successful application, the system will generate a unique application slip number. Candidates are required to download the application slip and save/keep the printout of the application slip, which will be generated by the system after successful application, for all future correspondence.
4. Candidates belonging to General/EWS/OBC category are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/- The SC/ST/PwBD/XSM category and female candidates need not pay the application fee.
