RRB Technician Categories Recruitment 2025

RRB Invites application for the various post of Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade III. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts mentioned in the table below. Applications complete in all respects must be submitted ONLINE ONLY latest by 23.59 hours of 28.07.2025.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

(a) Candidates should apply only through ONLINE mode through any of the official websites of the RRBs. Candidates can apply to only one RRB for a pay level and only one common ONLINE application (in order of preference for any or all the notified posts in that pay level for which the candidate is eligible and interested to apply) should be submitted by a candidate in a pay level. The selection of RRB once exercised shall be final. Application to more than one RRB for the same pay level by a candidate will lead to rejection of all the applications for that Pay Level.
(b) The recruitment process shall comprise of the following stages:
(i) Computer Based Test
(ii) Document Verification (DV) and
(iii) Medical Examination (ME)
(c) Information on examination schedule and venues will be given to eligible candidates in due course through RRB websites, SMS and email.
(d) Request for postponement of any of the stages or for change of venue, date and shift will not be entertained under any circumstances.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

(i) Please read the information given in the CEN thoroughly before filling up the ONLINE application.
(ii) Candidates must ensure that they possess and fulfill all the prescribed educational and technical qualifications for the post on or before the closing date for submitting application against this CEN. Candidates waiting for final results of prescribed educational/ technical qualifications are NOT eligible to apply.
(iii) Applications must be submitted ONLINE only through the link provided on official RRB websites. Candidates are required to go through Annexure A (i.e., Post- wise Parameters), Annexure B (i.e., RRB & Zone-wise vacancy details) and Annexure C ( i.e., Details of Merged Post Categories) of this detailed CEN to ascertain their eligibility before applying through online mode. RRB-wise & Railway wise vacancies indicated in this CEN are provisional and these may increase or decrease as per the requirement of Railway administrations concerned.
(iv) A separate application must be submitted for each Pay Level, as a separate CBT will be conducted for each Pay Level. The
applicable Examination Fee is also required to be paid separately for each Pay Level.
(v) Selection of RRB and Preferences for posts: Candidates should choose only one RRB in a given Pay Level and exercise their
preference for Zonal Railways/PUs and the corresponding posts notified under that RRB. Candidates with partial options will be
considered only for the specific Zonal Railway/PUs and corresponding posts opted by them, subject to vacancy position at the
time of allotment. In case no option is given for certain Zonal Railways/PUs and posts, it will be considered as their unwillingness for the same. Options once exercised shall be final and no change shall be entertained. Applicants who submit more than one application for same pay level against this CEN shall be disqualified and debarred from all future examinations of RRBs and Railway Recruitment Cell (RRCs).

Note: Out of the 30 post categories listed in Annexure A (i.e., Post-wise Parameters), 12 post categories at Pay Level 2 — hereinafter referred to as Merged Post Categories (MPCs) — have been formed by merging multiple post designations that share identical post
parameters. Each MPC therefore comprises more than one post designation. The list of these designations, along with their corresponding departmental and sub-departmental breakdowns, is provided in Annexure C (i.e., Details of Merged Post Categories).
