The following Manufacturing Units of BHEL are looking for ARTISANS in the various trades as per the details below:

(A) Boiler Auxiliaries Plant (BAP)- RANIPET, TAMILNADU
(B) Heavy Plates and Vessels Plant (HPVP) – VISHAKHAPATNAM, ANDHRA PRADESH
(C) Heavy Equipment Repair Plant (HERP) – VARANASI, UTTAR PRADESH
(D) Electronics Division (EDN) – BENGALURU, KARNATAKA
(E) Fabrication, Stamping & Insulator Plant (FSIP) – JAGDISHPUR, UTTAR PRADESH
(F) Heavy Electrical Equipment Plant (HEEP) – HARIDWAR, UTTRAKHAND
(G) Central Foundry & Forge Plant (CFFP) – HARIDWAR, UTTRAKHAND
(H) Heavy Power Equipment Plant (HPEP) – HYDERABAD, TELANGANA
(I) Heavy Electrical Plant (HEP) – BHOPAL, MADHYA PRADESH
(J) Transformer Plant (TP) – JHANSI, UTTAR PRADESH
(K) High Pressure Boiler Plant (HPBP) – TIRUCHIRAPPALLI

VACANCY DETAILS

Category Wise Reservation

Qualification & Upper Age Limit

Educational Qualifications (as on 1st July, 2025)

• Class Xth (Matriculation) PLUS
• National Trade Certificate (NTC / ITI) PLUS
• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade
• Minimum Marks Required:
  • General & OBC: 60% marks in both NTC/ITI and NAC
  • SC & ST: 55% marks in both NTC/ITI and NAC

Upper Age Limit (as on 1st July, 2025)

• General / EWS: 27 Years
• OBC (NCL): 30 Years
• SC / ST: 32 Years

Additional Relaxations

• PWD/Ex-Serviceman: Age relaxation as per Government of India rules
• Work Experience: Up to 7 years of age relaxation based on relevant work experience (in prescribed format)

Desirable

• Knowledge of Regional Language:
  • Knowledge of Regional Language for Tamil Nadu, Telangana/Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka based Units and Hindi for other Units

EMOLUMENTS AND BENEFITS

• Initial Employment: Selected candidates will be appointed as Temporary Employees for one year.
• Stipend: During this period, they will receive consolidated wages as per the applicable minimum wages of their respective manufacturing unit.
• Regularization: Upon successful completion of the temporary period, candidates will be regularized as ARTISAN GRADE-IV and placed at the minimum of the pay scale Rs 29,500 – Rs 65,000 with applicable allowances as per company rules at the time of regularization.

SELECTION PROCESS

• Two Stage Process:
  1. Stage I: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
     • All candidates must appear for a CBE in their respective trades.
     • Shortlisting for Skill Test is based on CBE marks in a 1:5 ratio to vacancies (category-wise, unit-wise).
     • Relaxation for PwD & Ex-Servicemen:
       • Minimum qualifying marks:
         • UR/EWS: 30 marks
         • OBC/SC/ST: 22.5 marks
     • Shortlisting is first done for UR (including reserved category candidates who do not avail relaxation), then for EWS/OBC/SC/ST separately for remaining vacancies.
  2. Stage II: Skill Test & Document Verification
     • Shortlisted candidates must attend and complete both document verification and the skill test (qualifying nature).
     • Only those who qualify in the skill test and are found eligible in document verification will be placed on the merit list.
• Final Merit:
  • The final merit order is based solely on the CBE score (out of 100) for candidates who qualify the skill test and document verification.

     • Examination Fee: NIL
     • Processing Fee: Rs 400 + GST
     • Total: Rs 472
