IIT Kharagpur Junior Research Fellowship Recruitment 2025
Applications are invited from eligible and motivated candidates for a research position under the project titled “CFD Optimization of Topology and Surface Texture for Wings of Butterfly-Mimetic Flyer” sponsored by the Aeronautics Research and Development Board, Ministry of Defence.
VACANCY DETAILS
Project Title:
CFD Optimization of Topology and Surface Texture for Wings of Butterfly-Mimetic Flyer (TWB)
Sponsoring Agency:
Aeronautics Research and Development Board, Ministry of Defence, DRDO HQ Annex, Metcalfe House, New Delhi.
Compensation
Up to RS. 37000/- per month depending on qualification and experience.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
B.Tech with 75% or 7.0 GPA Score in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or relevant Engineering or M.Sc in Mathematics with 7.5 GPA or 70% Marks with Valid GATE / NET score for B.Tech / M.Sc students. OR M.Tech with 7.5 GPA or 70% in Mechanical (Thermal), Aerospace (Aerodynamics) or relevant field.
Selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC, NET, Including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc. IISER, NISER etc.
Relevant Experience:
Experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) programming is required
Application Fee:

Age Limit:
Upper age limit is 28 years. Relaxation of up to 5 years will be applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, physically handicapped, visually handicapped and female applicants.
Tenure
The position is for a duration of 24 months or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
