IIT Tirupati – Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2025
Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a sponsored project undertaken in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
VACANCY DETAILS
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Essential Qualifications: M.E/M.Tech/MS(R) in Engineering or 5-year integrated Master’s degree in Engineering/ B.Tech + M.Tech Dual Degree
(or):
4-year Bachelor’s degree from a CFTI with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10.0 point scale (7.5 for EWS/OBC-NCL and 7.0 for SC/ST/PwD)
(or):
4-year Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university/institute with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10.0 point scale (6.5 for EWS/OBC- NCL and 6.0 for SC/ST/PwD) with a valid GATE score at the time of admission.
Preferred Disciplines: Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Science or equivalent
Research Area: Computer vision / Machine learning / Deep learning

Consolidated Monthly Salary: Rs. 37,000 + HRA (as per applicable rules)

Brief Project Description and Nature of the Work:
Nature of work:
● This project involves development of a computation vision model for health care applications.
● Analysis of data and prepare a presentation and report on the progress of work.
● Eligible candidates should have a strong interest in one or more broad areas like the basics of linear algebra (matrices), probability, and machine learning.
● Candidates should have proficiency in Python programming.

Application Process:
Eligible candidates must attach a detailed CV (maximum 3 to 4 pages) specifying their Qualifications and Experience with scanned copies of marksheets and certificates from X class till date and a brief statement of purpose (Why are they interested in this research area?).
