Online applications are invited from eligible Male & Female candidates for the post of Lower Primary – 2900 Vacancy and Upper Primary – 1600 Vacancy for the Schools of Assam
1. Vacancy:
Total No of posts: 4500 Vacancy
- Lower Primary: 2900
- Upper Primary: 1600
2. Pay Scale:
Lower Primary: Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019”
Upper Primary: 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019”
3. Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility Criteria for LP Schools as per Govt. in Department of School Education Notification No. eCF-303428 dated 28/11/2023
Assistant Teacher LP Schools:
| Essential Qualification & experiences | Marking/ Weightage |
| Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks | 5% of marks secured in Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or equivalent Examinations. |
| And 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) | 5% of marks secured in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) examination or Diploma in Education (Special Education). |
| And Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary. | 85% of marks secured in Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for Lower Primary Schools. |
| (Non-Essential) 1. .NCC Certificate – 5 marks for “C” Certificate and 3 marks for “B” Certificate Or 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized sports at National Level or beyond representing State or Nation. Or 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing State at National Level or Beyond representing State or Nation (organized by recognized institutions). | 5 Marks (Maximum) Even if the candidate possesses all the three qualification/ achievements |

| Graduate from the UGC recognized University | 5% of marks secured in Graduation examination. In case of candidate having Major in any subject, the marks secured in Major subject shall be taken into consideration. |
| And 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education | 5% of marks secured in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) examination or D.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. (Special Education) |
| And Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School | 80% of marks secured in Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for Upper Primary Schools. |
