Applications are invited in prescribed format for the following contractual post for “Adult and Pediatric Hematolymphoid Unit at BBCI, Guwahati under PM- DevINE, Scheme” at Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati. The position is temporary and purely on contractual basis. It can be extended maximum up to 3 years only.

VACANCY DETAILS

[A] Position/post: Engineer ‘C’ (Mechanical)
Number of post: 01 (one)
Salary: Rs. 67320 /- per month (consolidated)
Qualification: Full time B.E/ B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering in First Class (4 years after 12th standard or 3 years after Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) from AICTE approved College/University.
[Retired person from reputed institution/organization with the same Qualification may also apply]
Essential Experience: Minimum four (04) years of post-qualification experience in the field of mechanical maintenance work, HVAC, firefighting etc. in Hospital / Institutional / commercial complex / Industry.
Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

[B] Position/post: Engineer ‘C’ (Civil)
Number of post: 01 (one)
Salary: Rs. 67320/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification: Full time B.E/ B. Tech in Civil Engineering in First Class (4 years after 12th standard or 3 years after Diploma in Civil Engineering) from AICTE approved College/University.

Essential Experience: Minimum four (04) years of post-qualification experience in construction and / or maintenance of Institutional Buildings / complexes, quarters / residential buildings with exposure in estimation, budgeting, tendering, site supervision, quality assurances etc.
Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

[C] Position / post: Engineer ‘C’ (Electrical)
Number of post: 01 (one)
Salary: Rs. 67320/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification: Full time B.E/ B. Tech in Electrical Engineering in First Class (4 years after 12th standard or 3 years after Diploma in Electrical Engineering) from AICTE approved College/University.

Essential Experience: Minimum four (04) years of post-qualification experience in maintenance of Electrical Installations such as HT/LT Sub-Station and Switchgear, ACB, MCCB, Starter, Cubical Panels, DG set, APFC, Building Wiring / Cabling, Fire Alarm and public address system, industrial maintenance works etc.
Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

[D] Position / post: Junior Supervisor (Civil)
Number of post: 01 (one)
Salary: Rs. 42480/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification: Full time B.E/ B. Tech or First class Diploma in Civil Engineering (Full time course, 3 years after 10th Standard or 2 years after 12th Standard) from Institutes approved by State Board of Technical Examination.
Desirable Experience: Hand on experience in AUTO CAD, MS Office and related software will be preferred.
Age Limit: 30 years (relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

[E] Position / post: Junior Engineer (Civil)
Number of post: 01 (one)
Salary: Rs. 53880/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification: Full time B.E/ B. Tech or First class Diploma in Civil Engineering (Full time course, 3 years after 10th Standard or 2 years after 12th Standard) from Institutes approved by State Board of Technical Examination.
Essential Experience: 2 years post qualification experience with an established firm in supervision, quality control, billing of construction of multi-story buildings.
Age Limit: 30 years (relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

[F] Position / post: Junior Engineer (Mechanical)
Number of post: 01 (one)
Salary: Rs. 53880/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification: Full time B.E/ B. Tech or First class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Full time course, 3 years after 10th Standard or 2 years after 12th Standard) from Institutes approved by State Board of Technical Examination.
Essential Experience: 2 years post qualification experience with an established firm in the field of HVAC in Central A/C Plants of large organizations.
Age Limit: 30 years (relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

[G] Position / post: Scientific Officer – C (Computer Programmer)
Number of post: 01 (one)
Salary: Rs. 67320/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification: B.E / B. Tech (Computer Science / Information Technology) or Equivalent or MCA Degree with Minimum aggregate 50% marks from Govt. Recognized University.
Desirable Experience: Candidates having hands on programming experience in client server environment using visual basic .NET technology as a Front-N tool and DB 2 RDBMS on IBM i-series AS400 server or MS/SQL RDBMS on windows server as back end and Good practical knowledge of SQL, crystal report, working knowledge of Web Technology / Web Development tools, Skills on ASP / VB Script will be preferred.

[H] Position / post: Scientific Officer – C (IT Coordinator)
Number of post: 01 (one)
Salary: Rs. 67320/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification: B.E / B. Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology or Equivalent with Minimum aggregate 50% marks from Govt. Recognized University.
Desirable Experience: Candidates having hands on work experience in configuration / trouble shooting / maintaining, managing PC’s servers, various network equipment’s like L2 and L3 switches, routers, desktop (windows) OS, Windows, maintaining lease line connectivity etc., working knowledge of IBM I series (AS/400, DB2) system operation, administration, backup procedures etc. will be preferred.
Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

Place of Posting: Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati

Duration: Initial appointment is for 6 (Six) months, which is extendable solely based on the performance till co-terminus with project. The candidate will have NO right to claim for permanent employment under the PM-DevINE, Scheme / BBCI or for continuation of his / her services in any other project.

Age relaxation: 5 years in service candidates of TMC.

Selection Process and General Instruction

The selection will not be an employment on Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute’s permanent pay-roll. The candidate will have NO right to claim for permanent Employment in BBCI or continuation of his/ her services in any other project of the Institute.

The list of the eligible candidate for appearing in the interview for the above post will be published in the BBCI website on 15/07/2025 with date, time & venue of interview. No separate call letter will be issued to the candidates for appearing in the interview.

The institutes reserve the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason thereof.

The decision of the Institute as to Eligibility or otherwise of a candidate will be final.

Candidate should note that mere fulfilling of the minimum requisite & experience bestows no right on them to be called for test / interview.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
