SELECTION PROCESS
Screening Test (written, MCQ-based) and a Personal Interview. Only candidates who qualify in the Screening Test will be called for the Interview, as per the ratio decided by the Commission

- General English: 100 marks
- General Knowledge & Aptitude: 100 marks
- Chemistry/Forensic Science (Degree level): 100 marks
- Total: 300 marks
- Assistant Engineer (Group B, Water Resources):
- General English: 100 marks
- General Knowledge: 100 marks
- Agriculture Engg/Civil Engg/Water Resources Engg: 100 marks
- Total: 300 marks
- Lower Division Assistant (Secretariat Administrative Department):
- General English: 150 marks
- General Awareness & Aptitude: 150 marks
- Total: 300 marks
- Draftsman Grade-II (Water Resources Department):
- General English: 50 marks
- General Knowledge: 50 marks
- Civil Draftsmanship (Certificate Course Level): 200 marks
- Total: 300 marks
Personal Interview:
Only those who pass the Screening Test/Main Written Exam are eligible. The number of candidates called for the interview will be as per MPSC’s discretion
APPLICATION PROCESS
Candidates are to apply and submit their applications through online mode only by clicking on the “Online Application” icon appearing in the MPSC website viz www.mpsc.nic.in. Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected.
For candidates applying for the first time through online mode, a one-time registration process is required to enable them to apply against the advertised vacancies/posts. Kindly read the instructions on the web page carefully before applying.
Application Fees (Non-Refundable):
- For posts at Sl. No. 1 & 2: Rs. 460/- (Half the rate for SC/ST who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya.)
- For post at Sl. No. 3: Rs. 350/- (Half the rate for SC/ST who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya.)
- For post at Sl. No. 4: Rs. 320/- (Half the rate for SC/ST who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya.)
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWDs): Exempted from application fee (must provide Disability Certificate).
Payment Modes:
Fees can be paid via e-Challan or online through the GRAS payment gateway. e-Challan mode is preferred.
