National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Institute intends to fill the following Project positions through both Online/Physical interviews for the “Centre of Excellence on Phytopharmaceuticals & Herbal Products” sponsored by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Govt. of India by PRIP scheme with a project duration of 5 years.

Project Position Details

• Position: Project Scientist I (Non-Medical)
• Post Code: PS-01 (GMP Formulation Facility)
• Fellowship: ₹56,000/- + 20% HRA
• Number of Positions: 1 (One)

Essential Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations) / Pharmaceutics / Industrial Pharmacy
• M.Pharm / M.S.(Pharm.) in Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations) / Pharmaceutics / Industrial Pharmacy
• At least one research paper in an SCI indexed journal

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Experience in herbal/phytopharmaceutical industries.
2. Operating knowledge on:
   • Tablet machine
   • Granulating machines
   • Capsule filling machine
   • Fluid bed processor
   • Strip packaging machine
   • Liquid filling machine

Maximum Age Limit:

• 35 years as on the last date of application (05.08.2025)
• Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped and Women applicants

General Instructions

1. Only Indian Nationals can apply.
2. Interviews will be held in hybrid mode (online + physical).
3. Apply through the prescribed format available at www.niperguwahati.ac.in from 22.07.2025 to 05.08.2025.
4. Application must be submitted online only. No other form will be accepted.
5. Prepare soft copies of all documents before filling the form.
6. Check all eligibility criteria (qualification, age, experience) before applying.
7. False or incorrect information will lead to rejection.
8. Once submitted, applications cannot be changed.
9. Incomplete applications or missing documents will be rejected.
10. The Screening/Selection Committee may relax age/experience for outstanding candidates.
11. Meeting minimum qualifications doesn’t guarantee selection or interview.
12. No guarantee of continuation in any institute role beyond the project period.
13. Appointment is contractual for 1 year, extendable based on performance and funding (max. 5 years).
14. Age will be calculated as on 05.08.2025.
15. Shortlisted candidates will be listed on the Institute website.
16. Physical attendance for interview is preferred. Online interview links will be sent to selected candidates if needed.
17. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
